Harvest Happiness Thank You Card by Lexa

Hello Sunny Studio friends!

Lexa here with another Haverst Happiness inspiration card.  I believe it's almost fall somewhere out there. Imagining all the beautiful leaves and weather makes me want to travel to where you are. But since I don't celebrate Thanksgiving or the fall season, I tried to make a thank you card with all the pretty fall colors.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Harvest Happiness Pumpkin Thank You Card by Lexa Levana

I started my card with a 4" x 5.5" white cardstock and die-cut a circle window on the top center of my card. I blended Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey Distress Inks on my circle panel and also stamped two sizes of pumpkins with an orange ombre ink pad, that matches the pumpkin border on the bottom. I mixed the sentiment from two stamp sets, Autumn Splendor and City Streets, just because I need to thank someone for spending their time with me. I hope it will make someone's day.

Rather than watercoloring my images as I usually do, I choose to paper-piecing the pumpkins instead. And I'm glad I did because I think it looks so cool with all-patterned pumpkins. :) I colored the stems, leaves, and tiny hearts with my alcohol markers to make them look more solid. To add some sparkles to this card, I also add some clear sequins along with the pumpkin border.

I hope you enjoy today's post and I will see you next time. Have a wonderful crafty day! :)

Harvest Happiness Watercolor Thankful For You Card with Vanessa

Hello everybody! Vanessa here with my Harvest Happiness card. We do not celebrate Thanksgiving here in Germany, so I chose to create a more neutral autumn card. The colors of fall make me so happy!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Harvest Happiness Watercolor Fall Leaves & Pumpkin Card by Vanessa Menhorn.

First, I trimmed a piece of watercolor paper slightly smaller than my Kraft card base and stamped/heat-embossed the small leaves from the set with white embossing powder. Then I applied watercolors around the embossed images and added droplets of color around them. After it was dried, I adhered the panel to the card. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of purple cardstock and adhered it. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the pumpkins onto watercolor paper, colored them with watercolors, fussy-cut them and adhered them with foam tape. To finish the card off, I added matching sequins.

Autumn is in full swing here and I am happy the pumpkin season has started! Nothing like a good Pumpkin Risotto :) What's your favorite pumpkin recipe?
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Harvest Happiness Thanksgiving Card with Lindsey

Hi, Lindsey here today with a fun Thanksgiving card featuring a stamp set from last year called Harvest Happiness. This set is just filled with sweet little images, so I decided to incorporate many of them in my card today. Let's get started!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Harvest Happiness Thanksgiving Pilgrim & Indian Owl Card by Lindsey Sams.

I began with some fall plaid paper in an A2 sized stitched rectangle. Next, I cut another slightly smaller stitched rectangle from some Kraft cardstock. This is the panel I did my stamping on. I simply laid out the stamps I wanted to use on top of my Kraft cardstock and then stamped them out. I had to stamp some of the smaller images more than once to fill in some gaps.

Next, I colored all my images with Copic markers and added some detail with a white gel pen. I outlined each image with a light gray marker to give a slight shadow around the images and really make them pop. To finish, I added foam tape to the back of the Kraft cardstock panel and attached on top of the plaid card base. That's it! This was a pretty simple yet fun card to create.

Thanks for reading! I hope you'll keep checking back to the blog for more great ideas using this fun set. I can't wait to see what you guys create. Have a great day!

Harvest Happiness: I Love You More Than Pie! by Anni

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Here I am with my last card as a design team member for Sunny Studio Stamps. I had a great time. Mendi is such a sweet person and I am so thankful for this opportunity, but it is time to move on for me.

For this card I used the super cute set Harvest Happiness!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Harvest Happiness I Love You More Than Pie Card by Anni Lerche

I stamped the image in Memento ink and colored it with colored pencils (Polychromos and Prismacolor). For a little extra touch I added some highlights with a gel pen. After that I fussy cut the image (there are also coordinating dies available).

I chose some matching patterned paper from my stash and cut it into a rectangle. I die cut a circle as a window and a frame from matching cardstock.  As my card base I decided to go with some kraft paper because I think it's great for fall cards.

I drew a circle with a pencil and a light hand on my card base where my circle window would be. That made it easier for me to stamp the sentiment with Versamark and emboss it in white (I love white on kraft, don't you?).

Thanks for stopping by and have a sunny week.
Anni

Holiday Release Update & Sneak Peek

Hello there friends!  I'm sad to say I've made the decision to push back our inspiration week and holiday release by one week due to receiving a late shipment of some of the new products.  I'm super bummed, but in the end I decided I would feel better having everything in hand before kicking the week off.  ;)

However I promised you some peeks this week so I've put together a little collage of some of the projects I've been working on that I will now be sharing starting next Monday with a release date of October 7th.

I hope you will join us for all the fun & festivities.  In the meantime, the team is sharing some amazing ideas for fall using our Harvest Happiness set this week.  Please scroll down to see Eloise's gorgeous card for the day.  :)

Big Hugs!

Harvest Happiness Layered Pumpkins Card with Eloise

Hello everyone, Eloise here and I'm back with a card featuring the Harvest Happiness set. I knew when I got this set I knew I wanted to stack the pumpkins up so that's what I'm doing for the card today.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Harvest Happiness Autumn Blessings Fall Pumpkin Card by Eloise Blue

To begin my card today I needed to make a ton of masks. So I took some masking paper and stamped down 4 of each pumpkin and a few leaves from the Harvest Happiness set I fussy cut them out to the line and then I could start stamping. I used some Versafine Onyx black ink to stamp down my leaves first, using the masks in between as needed. Once I had the layer of those at the bottom of the cardstock, I could stamp out my pumpkins - doing the same thing as I did for the leaves. Once I had finished stamping I used clear embossing powder so when I watercolour it can be faster and easier.

For the watercolouring today I'm using the Kuretake Gansai Watercolours. I used autumn-y colours and I also coloured the background too, to make it look complete.

To finish up my card I used a stitched rectangle die to die cut the panel down and to flatten it out, I then stamped down the 'autumn blessings' sentiment with some black ink also. I then popped it up on fun foam and mounted it onto a green card base and that finished up my card.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed and make sure you check by the blog this week to see more inspiration using this stamp set.

- Eloise

Autumn Splendor Grateful For You Card By Lexa

Hello crafty friends!

It's Lexa here, today I'm going to share a card featuring Autumn Splendor stamp and coordinating dies. This set is so pretty with all the leaves, berries, and acorns which are perfect for all your fall projects. I love fall colors!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fall Owl Card by Lexa Levana (using Autumn Splendor, Harvest Happiness & Woodsy Creatures)

I start my card with a piece of 4.25" x 5.5" watercolor paper, stamping all the leaves with Distress Inks (Candied Apple, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Mowed Lawn, Vintage Photo) and then I applied some water to all of them. As a last touch, I splattered the same ink colors, which I think looks really cool. :)

After I finished my background, I layer a piece of vellum in 4" x 5.25" to soften the tone. The trick I learned for this stamp set is I prefer to die cut first and then stamp all the images. I think it's easier that way, as I did with the berries and leaves. I use the cute owl from Harvest Happiness to stand on the wood log from Woodsy Creatures as the main piece of my card.

I stamped them with Versafine black ink and watercolored them with Distress Markers. After I finished all my elements, I arranged them all together and they look so pretty. Mixing your stamp sets always can give you a fresh look, and yes I know when it's easier to match all the pieces that come from the same set, but it's worth a try. I heat-embossed the sentiment with copper embossing powder to match all the color tones together.

I hope you like my card for today, thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
